   Lever – Never mind the Special K…I would be more concerned about the heroin and crack. Poor thing has to have a death wish to be “partying” that hardcore.

   I think she is great singer. Listening to the radio yesterday, her father in law was urging people to boycott her album, and said “she should be ineligible for awards until she seeks treatment for drug addiction.”

   Would this help? Probably not methinks. She might go on the game instead which would be worse.

   Makes me think of legends like Dexter Gordon, Charlie Parker, Billie Holiday etc. Troubled souls with talent.

   I’d heard of Amy Winehouse, but never listened to her music until Lever wrote about talentless wonder Donny Tourette, and I found a youtube link showing Amy on ‘Never Mind the Buzzcocks’. She seems funny, lovely and a nice natured drunk to boot. link. I recommend watching the whole episode.

   Yeah, that’s not going to work. Someone that is addicted to hardcore drugs couldn’t care less about their music getting boycotted. As long as shes got millions in the bank, she’s got everything she needs (enough money to buy drugs). No one is going to stop doing drugs until they are good and ready to stop doing drugs. Plus, her husband is a crack head too, so that makes it that much easier to rationalize getting high (strength is numbers…hah). Well, hopefully she can get it together.
