Bethany Taylor – Magnolia Hair Studio – Oceanside

July5

A few days ago, I got the best example of “write the letter when you’re pissed, but don’t send it because you’ll look like a total jack ass” from Bethany Taylor, owner of Magnolia Hair Studio in Oceanside, California. Bethany gave me the worst haircut I have ever had in my ENTIRE life, over a year ago, so I happened to rant about it on my blog. I’m not sure how Bethany Taylor (the chick that gave me that shitty ass hair cut) found my blog, but apparently she did because I got the following email:

(Warning: This email is almost painful to read. Apparently they don’t teach proper use of punctuation or grammar at the hair school Bethany attended. No really, I started reading it a couple of times before I could actually bare to finish the whole jumbled mess…)

So i’m not gonna be lame and immature as you have clearly proven yourself to be. You obviously have WAY to much time on your hands! First of all… if you had such a problem with the service you got or didn’t get (in your case) MOST MATURE adults would let that person know you weren’t happy and not waste your precious time making yourself look rediculous by post a sad pathetic pitty party for yourself ONLINE- how embarrasing! one thing to remember for the future is don’t tip someone that performed a service that your not happy with because how is that person suppose to ever know. Also I
thought your business was doing so well how could you not have any money that’s wierd. If you were wondering how my business works? Here it is when you deal with the public you can build your clients by advertising
everywhere without people knowing the work you do or in my case i have NEVER advertised and it’s wierd that I am booked solid by appointment only and I do work people in between each other to make the most of my time, and my clients totally understand and have no problem and if they do they can go elsewhere I’m not meant to do everone’s hair! I don’t know if you’ve ever heard the term time is valuable but then again i can see why your not successful when you’re spending your time slandering someone that is successful. I seriously feel sorry for you! By the way the client that i supposedly OVERPROCESSED (you probably shouldn’t say things that you have now idea about!) has been coming to me for about 5 years and has always
beeen totally happy with her hair (hence the REPEAT client) And NO she didn’t overprocess! Word of advice spend your time wisely! And I would suggest you take the info down off your website or there could be legal action takin! And for the money you spent getting your f’d up haircut that made you poor I feel so horrible that it put you under that I will be more than happy to reimburse I wouldn’t want an unhappy customers. Next time maybe have enough maturity to confront the person before you take the low way out!!!! That actually made you look worse than me, it was pretty funny. Please call me if you have further comments or you would like to give me your address so i can send you your pathetic money back. Good luck in the
future at growing up, you are gettin up there. Figure it out now before it’s to late!
With all due sincerity,
Bethany Taylor

business advice to help you grow:)

Good stuff, Bethany! I especially like how she starts out her whine-fest with, “So i’m not gonna be lame and immature…”. Hahaha. Classic. This email from Bethany really did make me laugh outloud a few times. I love how someone that has known me for one hour of my entire life, flat out claims that they are more successful then me. Here’s a tip, sweetheart: Read “The Millionaire Next Door“. Perhaps that will give you a better perception of success. Also, one of my BIGGEST pet peeves are empty threats. Look up the meaning of “slander” before you use it. Or, at least hire a lawyer that knows what the fuck you really mean (hint, hint: libel).

I have 3 other friends that have received crappy haircuts/color from Bethany Taylor at Magnolia Hair Studio in Oceanside, California. But I think her email will be enough for people to read when they search the internet for Bethany or her facade of a “hair studio”, and end up here, don’t you?

In conclusion, a picture is worth a thousand words, so here is what you can expect from Bethany at Magnolia Hair Studio:

Or, if you’d prefer a good haircut:

I highly recommend Renee Africa at Bakerloo ( 760.434.3743 ) in Carlsbad.

Barberphobic as I am (not visited one for over a decade), this just gives me another reason to avoid HairCutters. :)

I would to recommend the following steps:

    1. Take Bethany Taylor up on the business advice offer

    2. Publish Bethany Taylors’ business advice

    3. Make Ad Revenue for years to come based on her business advice to you that you published, once; when you had “Way too much time on your hands.”

    4. Generate recurring income without having to pull a 9-5 everyday (yes, that’s right summer, no sweeping up hair)

    5. Revaluate her business advice

    6. Ask yourself; am I upside down on my mortgage and car loans?

    7. Define Success

    7. Go surfing again, on a Tuesday, at 2:12pm when everyone else is at work

    *ahem*

Peculiar keyword phrases and punctuation aside, I’d send the paramedic ’round to Bethany’s place with the oxygen bottle pronto: it sounds like the poor girl needs to come up for air once in a while ;)

I’m not sure who you are, and obviously you had a bad experience with Bathany, but to be honest, she did my hair for years and I have lived in other parts of the world, in big cities, and she BY FAR does the best hair of anyone I have ever seen…she is an awesome chick…don’t hate. Also, slam on her grammar all you want, but I’m pretty sure that is no reflection on how she does hair…and one last thing, your hair from bethany looked a zillion times better than this purple -blonde weave you’ve got going on in the second picture.

Bethany is the best. This is ludicrous. I travel from central California to Southern California because no one else does my hair like she does. She’s awesome and this lady is vindictive and rude.
