Model Loses Hands & Feet due to Untreated UTI
Brazilian model, Mariana Bridi is fighting for her life after losing both hands and feet to an infections caused by an untreated urinary tract infection.
Mariana is 20 years old and began feeling ill in late December. When she visited the doctor, she was told that she had kidney stones, but when her condition did not improve, it was discovered that she had a simple UTI (urinary tract infection) that had developed into septicemia since it had gone untreated. Mariana’s hands, and then her feet had to be amputated as her condition deteriorated due to the lack of circulation caused by the septicemia. Unfortunately the outlook for Mariana does not look good and she could also lose her life.
How weird and sad is this story? A simple UTI and she could end up dieing from it.

That was so tragic and she died yesterday.
My step cousin died from a UTI. I thought it was crazy too. But my Mom seemed to get UTI’s easily (they say some women just get them often) so luckily I always know to drink my Cranberry Juice & visit the Dr. if I feel one coming on. (of course you’d only know if u had one before) But everyone should make cranberry juice a part of their diet because it REALLY HELPS.

Yes, she died. Isn’t that horrible? It just seems totally weird to me, especially because I don’t take antibiotics and I’ve had UTI’s before. Kinda scary.

What?! How incredibly sad and tragic. It’s also scary because I didn’t know you could die from an untreated UTI. RIP beautiful angel.
Good God…I have a UTI right now, am on strong antibiotics and I still feel sick. This scares me. Hopefully it will clear up in a few days….
