Paypal Donation Counter Widget

June29

I spent a good hour or so looking for some sort of widget that counts Paypal donations in real time and I FINALLY found it (so I’m posting it here, so others that are looking for the same thing can find it too!). The Paypal donation widget that I found is by Chipin.com and it’s pretty cool. The widget is super simple to set up and this is what it looks like:

Once the widget is created, it tracks donations and contributors and people that donate can leave comments as well. All in all, this Paypal donation widget is everything I was looking for and more. Cool! :)

I made the widget above for our CA2PR.com blog as a way for our friends and family to contribute to building our house. Check out the scoop here:

i found this too, but the thing is, we’re just collecting money on our own in cash for an event and want an online presence so that people can see how the fundraiser for Haiti is doing. Is there a widget that’s kinda like a thermometer that one can update him/herself on the organization’s facebook page?!

Hey, thanks so much for the link. I put up chip in for my marathon I’m running in June to raise money for a Nepalese orphanage, BUT I just was wondering if you know if someone can contribute without using paypal, cause some of my friends/family want to give but don’t want to open a paypal account. Do you know if there’s the option to just use credit card? thanks so much, and good luck with the dream house!

hey thanks for the great link! I was wondering if you know if people can donate without a paypal account though, cause some of my family and friends don’t want to open one, but just want to use their credit card. Thanks for the advice and good luck with casa descanso! :)

Quick question: Is there any way to start the counter higher than “0″? We have already begun collecting funds and some are by mail…I would like to start it at $1200, and be able to add the mail-in amounts. Thank you for your help!
